Practical AI Workflow: Conference Follow-Up at Scale

📸 Spent a day at a leadership conference and I wanted to follow up promptly and without drudgery.

Here’s what I did:

1. Capture - Photographed name badges on my phone as I met people
2. Extract - Uploaded photos to Gemini and had it pull: name, company, role
3. Organize - Gemini dumped the data into a Google Sheet. Added a Notes column for my own context, which I updated manually
4. Enrich - Used Claude Cowork to search for LinkedIn profiles and auto-populate profile links in the sheet
5. Personalize - I sent personalized follow-ups to each person (AI did not write these messages)

Result: Over 40 personalized connections sent in well under an hour.

The win? Capture was fast. Data cleanup was automated. I stayed in control of the actual relationship-building.
